HIV Testing
HIV Counseling and Testing
Knowing your HIV status and understanding your risk can keep you healthier longer. CHASI’s HIV test counselors take time to make sure you understand this information and give you the opportunity to ask questions.
What to expect when coming for an HIV test:
- The test takes about 30 minutes.
- Bring your ID. Tests are confidential, but not anonymous. This means we want to know who you are, but your results are kept private.
- If your first test result is positive, we will connect you to a confirmatory test.
All CHASI services are free.
“No matter what happens, you will be taken care of. It’s better to know your status –then you can start getting healthy again.” Nicholas, HIV Test Counselor
