Testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)

If you are sexually active, it’s a good idea to incorporate a routine of screenings and tests for infections. Although all STIs are treatable, some have more serious health risks than others. CHASI has been providing information and referrals since our inception. While many STIs can be effectively treated with antibiotics, some are difficult to cure and may require ongoing management with your medical provider.

Many people who have STIs do not experience symptoms, so you may not know you have an infection without a test. Regular testing for STIs is an important part of maintaining good sexual health.

Our health workers will meet with you for confidential conversations about your sexual health and recommend the tests you need to take charge of your health. Some tests are offered in our offices, and we provide referrals to partner providers for any other tests you may need.
