Mobile Schedule & Food Pantry Hours
SNAP updates
CHASI is here to help while our communities get back on track after the SNAP freeze.
No matter your situation, you can always shop at the CHASI Food Pantry. No income requirements. No pre-registration required, just bring an ID and shopping bags if you have them.
You can also visit at Mobile Food Pantry stop to receive grocery items. Current schedule available below.
If you have questions about recertification or something else SNAP-related, please leave a message on CHASI's temporary helpline at 718-808-1801.
If you are enrolled in another CHASI program, talk to your care worker about other ways to supplement your household food budget. Some programs are offering more meals at workshops and groups, so please don't be afraid to ask!
How to Help
Thank you to all who came together to support feeding programs in this recent time of crisis. CHASI accepts food and monetary donations to support these feeding programs all year. We purchase food at wholesale prices, and monetary donations to the pantry may be doubled through a match from the Diamond Matching Grant sponsored by the Staten Island Foundation. Use the Donate button at the top of the page or the link below.
Food items we need most are protein, especially meat and dairy, and easy-to-prepare meals for kids with working parents like single-servings of Mac and Cheese, noodles, and cereal. You can drop off donations at 2134 Richmond Terrace. The drop-off process is easier on non-distribution days -- Mondays and Thursdays -- but feel free to come Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm or Saturday afternoon, 1 -3 pm.
